Goa Election Schedule : The Goa Legislative Assembly election, 2017 will be held in early 2017, to elect the 40 members of the Goa Legislative Assembly, as the term of current Legislative Assembly ends on March 18, 2017. VVPAT-fitted EVMs will be used at 284 polling booths in Goa elections in 2017.
Goa Election Schedule Dates 2017 Announced
The Chief Electoral Office of Goa has proposed Polls likely between December 11-18 but Election Commission of India has not announced any final dates of Polls. It would be announced by November or December 2016.

Goa Elections last year were held on 3rd March 2012 to elect its 40 member MLA. Last year the notification was issues on 2nd Feb and elections were held in March. The elections of GOA were held along with Punjab and Uttarakhand and all results were declared on 6th March 2012.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Patrakar Din function, Parsekar said the term of the Goa Legislative Assembly ends in March 2017. He refused to respond to media reports that the Election Commission of India might schedule elections in November this year.
The term of current Legislative Assembly ends on March 18, 2017. The last election had resulted in a 21 seat majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party led by Manohar Parrikar. Parrikar was elected Chief Minister. In 2014, he had to resign due to being nominated as Minister of Defence. Laxmikant Parsekar took oath as Chief Minister as Parrikar’s successor.
